The Built browser extension for Google Chrome and Firefox allows Company Admins, HR Admins, and HR Managers to securely manage positions and requisitions without navigating between platforms.

When installing the Built browser extension on your device, we recommend pinning it to your toolbar for easy access via the puzzle piece icon.

Accessing Existing Positions and Requisitions

Within your Built browser extension, you can scroll or search positions and requisitions, allowing you to quickly:

  • Copy Built position IDs.

  • Navigate to positions on your official chart and make any needed changes.

  • Connect requisitions to new or existing positions.

To search for a position or requisition:

  1. Locate the appropriate search field within your browser extension.

Only customers of our Position Management module can manage requisitions in Built. Customers utilizing a supported ATS integration can also import external requisitions by clicking the sync icon at the top of the Requisitions tab.

  2. Enter the title, Built position ID, or Built requisition ID of the desired position or requisition.

  3. Choose the position or requisition from the list that populates. The position or requisition will be displayed within your browser extension, allowing you to take the needed action(s).

Copying a Position ID

Copying position IDs in Built and then pasting them in the appropriate field within your HRIS allows you to assign individuals to Built positions via the following integrations:

To quickly copy a position ID from your Built browser extension, click the displayed position. Learn more about copying Built position IDs.

Navigating to a Position on Your Official Chart

Navigate to a position on your official chart by clicking the displayed position within your browser extension and then clicking the org chart icon in the upper right corner. You can then edit the position from the org chart if needed.

Connecting Requisitions to Built Positions

Backfill requisitions created in Built are automatically connected to the appropriate position. However, it’s important to ensure that approved requisitions for new positions and those imported from your ATS are correctly connected.

Customers of our ADP Workforce Now® integration can auto-connect imported requisitions to Built positions.

To connect a requisition to new or existing positions in Built:

  1. After locating the desired requisition, click the Connect Positions button.

If a requisition is already connected to one or more positions, you can click a connected position to view it and/or click the Edit button to change which positions are connected to the requisition. If additional positions can be connected, you can do so by clicking Connect More Positions.

  2. Your options will vary based on whether you’re connecting one or more existing positions or adding and connecting new positions:

•To connect one or more existing positions, enter the title(s) or Built position ID(s) in the field(s) provided, then make the appropriate selection(s) from the list that populates before clicking Save.

To add and connect one or more new positions, enter the appropriate position data in the Add Position window before clicking Add.

Adding New Positions in Built

From your browser extension, you can also quickly add new Built positions independently from requisitions.

To add a new position from your Built browser extension:

  1. Click the + button next to the Search Positions field.

  2. When the Add Position window opens, enter the title of the new position.

  3. Identify the position’s manager by entering their name, title, or position ID.

  4. Click Save. Once created, you can edit the position’s data as needed in Built.
