Connecting Lever to Built

Import and connect Lever job requisitions to your Built account.

For customers new to our Lever integration.


If your organization uses Lever for applicant tracking, you can easily import your requisitions from Lever directly into your Built account. This integration with the Built Position Management module allows you to connect requisitions to open positions on your org chart.

To connect Built and Lever:

Note: Only Company Admins can manage company integration settings. To learn more, refer to: Understanding User Roles & Permissions.

  1. Click your company name at the top of the main navigation, then click Company Settings.

  2. Click the Integrations tab.

  3. Click the Lever hyperlink in the list of integrations.

  4. Click the Connect button.

  5. Log into your Lever account if needed.

  6. Complete the authorization step.

Manually Importing Job Requisition Data from Lever

After connecting to Lever, your data will be imported automatically, and daily automatic imports will be enabled. You may also initiate a manual import from Lever anytime from the Job Requisitions page.

Note: Only Company Admins, HR Admins, and HR Managers can import data into Built. To learn more, please refer to: Understanding User Roles & Permissions.

  1. Navigate to the Recruiting page from the main menu.

  2. Click the Import button.

  3. Once the import is complete, click View Job Requisitions.

To connect job requisitions to positions in Built:

  1. Navigate to the Recruiting page.

  2. To find the requisition you want to connect to a position, filter the list by the status of the requisition, or use the search field. To see more details about a specific requisition, click the hyperlinked job requisition name or job requisition # in the table.

  3. Click the Connect Position button in the Position ID column.

  4. Enter the title or position ID of the position you want to connect.
    โ€‹Note: It is possible to connect a job requisition to multiple unique positions in Built.

  5. Click Save once you have listed all positions that you would like to connect.

Configuring Automatic Imports

Automatic imports are enabled by default.

To configure the frequency and notifications for automatic imports:

  1. Navigate to Company Settings > Imports.

  2. Click Edit in the section titled Lever Import Settings.

  3. In the Enable Automatic Imports field, choose Yes.

  4. Select your desired Import Frequency.

  5. Enter an email address where the system can send a notification email each time the automated import process completes.

To disable automatic imports:

  1. Navigate to Company Settings > Imports.

  2. Click Edit in the section titled Lever Import Settings.

  3. In the Enable Automatic Imports field, choose No.

Disconnecting Lever integration in Built

After you have disconnected Lever from your Built account, you will no longer be able to view or edit the data in the Job Requisitions table, and no future imports will take place.

  1. Navigate to Company Settings > Integrations.

  2. Click the Lever hyperlink in the list of integrations.

  3. Click the Deactivate button.

  4. Click OK.
