For customers of our Position Management module integrating with Greenhouse.
Our bidirectional integration allows you to create requisitions in Built, utilize our configurable approval workflow, and then send the requisitions to Greenhouse. You can also connect requisitions imported from Greenhouse to positions in Built.
To connect Built and Greenhouse:
Only Company Admins and HR Admins can manage company settings. Learn more about managing user roles and permissions.
Log in to your Built account.
Click your company name at the top of the main navigation, then click Company Settings.
Click the Integrations tab.
Click Greenhouse in the list of integrations.
Click Connect.
Ensure you’re logged into Greenhouse, then complete the authorization step. After connecting to Greenhouse, daily automatic imports will be enabled. You may also initiate a manual import from Greenhouse at any time.
For Greenhouse Advanced/Expert customers: We recommend creating an opening custom field in Greenhouse, allowing you to send Built position IDs for requisitions. To do this, click the configure icon, then click Custom Options. Locate the Company custom fields section, click Openings, then click Add field. Enter the field name, “Built Position ID”, click the Field type dropdown to select Short textbox, and click Save.
Sending Requisitions to Greenhouse
When sending requisitions to Greenhouse, you can choose whether to create a new job or openings for an existing job. By default, requisition data sent from Built to Greenhouse will include the information listed in the table below. Alternatively, you can request a custom dataset to meet your organization’s needs.
While our requisition approval workflows help your team ensure the appropriate approvals, admins can skip pending approvers or bypass a requisition’s approval process when flexibility is needed.
