Configuring Requisition Approvers and Approval Notification Recipients

Assign default approvers and approval notification recipients or edit approvers on specific requisitions.

Configuring Default Approvers and Approval Notification Recipients

Configured default approvers and approval notification recipients will be automatically assigned to new requisitions. When managing a requisition’s approvers and approval notification recipients, individuals can be added, reordered, or removed.

To configure default approvers and/or approval notification recipients for new requisitions:

Note: Only Company Admins, HR Admins, HR Managers, and Recruiting Admins can edit requisition workflow settings. To learn more, refer to: Understanding User Roles & Permissions.

  1. From the main menu, navigate to the Recruiting page and click the Settings tab.

  2. Locate the Requisition Workflow Settings section and click the Edit button.

  3. Click the appropriate field (Default Approvers or People Notified For All Approved Requisitions) to enter a person’s name or title, then select the individual from the list that populates. You can drag and drop to reorder individuals, or remove a person by clicking the X next to their name.

  4. Click Save.

Note: Changes to configured default approvers and approval notification recipients will be applied to all future requisitions.

Managing a Requisition’s Approvers and Approval Notification Recipients

When a requisition is created, the requisition’s approvers will be invited to review the requisition one at a time in the designated order. Once all approvers have approved the requisition, the requisition’s creator, assigned approvers, and approval notification recipients will be notified via email. You can edit a requisition’s approvers and approval notification recipients until the requisition is fully approved.

To edit approvers or approval notification recipients for a specific requisition:

Note: Only Company Admins, HR Admins, HR Managers, and Recruiting Admins can manage a requisition’s approvers. To learn more, refer to: Understanding User Roles & Permissions.

  1. Navigate to the Recruiting page.

  2. Locate the desired requisition on the Requisitions table, click the Req ID dropdown, and then View Req Details.

  3. When the requisition opens, you’ll see the current approvers and approval notification recipients listed in the upper right corner. Click the appropriate Edit button to manage approvers or notification recipients.

  4. Enter a person’s name or title in the field provided and select an individual from the list that populates. Assign additional individuals as needed. You can drag and drop to reorder individuals, or remove a person by clicking the x next to their name.

    Note: Approvers cannot be reordered or removed once they’ve responded to a requisition.

  5. Click Save.
