While you can import most updates via a supported API or by manually or automatically importing a CSV file, the following fields currently require you to enter changes manually.

Person Data Requiring Manual Updates:

  • Awards

  • Benefits

  • Career Ladders

  • Dependents

  • Direct Deposit

  • Documents

  • Education*

  • Job Definitions

  • Job Levels

  • Licenses and Certs*

  • Lists

  • Notes

  • Organizations and Communities

  • Pay Grades

  • Professional Skills

  • Publications

  • PTO

  • Social Links

  • Timesheets

* Only customers of our ADP Workforce Now® integration can import individuals’ education and license/certification data.

Position Data Requiring Manual Updates:

Notes about data requiring manual updates:

  • The Employee Type field is shared by a person and their position. If a person's employee type is updated, the employee type for their position will be updated automatically. The reverse, however, is not true.

  • When importing data, file columns mapped to the Employee Type field will update both the person and their position.

  • Employee types for open positions must be updated manually.
