For customers new to our ADP iHCM integration.
Getting Started
If you do not already have a Built account, please connect with our team before initiating your ADP iHCM integration.
To enable the ADP iHCM Integration in Built:
Contact your ADP iHCM direct account manager to initiate implementation of your integration.
ADP iHCM will share API credentials with Built’s Customer Success Team.
The Built Customer Success Team will contact you to schedule an implementation call and prepare to import your data.
Implementation
During your implementation call, our Customer Success Team will help you configure your account settings, teach you about the platform, and address your initial questions.
If you already have a Built account containing data, we will request your permission via email to clear existing data, ensuring information is not duplicated when importing directly from ADP iHCM.
Importing ADP iHCM Data Automatically and Manually
We recommend configuring how Built handles positions for imported terminations and new hires to determine if positions are automatically deleted or created.
To enable automatic imports in Built:
Only Company Admins and HR Admins can configure company settings.
Click your company name at the top of the main navigation, then click Company Settings.
Click the Imports tab.
In the ADP iHCM Import Settings section, click the Edit button.
To enable automatic imports, select Yes.
Select your desired import frequency.
Enter an email address where the system will send notification emails each time the automated import process completes.
Click Save. Your first automated import will occur as specified in your import frequency.
To initiate a manual import in Built:
Only Company Admins, HR Admins, and HR Managers can import data.
From Built's main menu, navigate to the Org Chart page.
You can also import people and positions from the People page.
Click the import/export icon in the upper right corner of the page, then click Records from ADP iHCM. The system will confirm when your import is complete, displaying your import summary.
During the import, the system may prompt you to match new records from ADP iHCM to existing records in Built and/or correct any errors.
Notes about managing your ADP iHCM integration and import settings:
If you'd like to disable automatic imports, click your company name at the top of the main navigation and then navigate to Company Settings > Imports. (If the Imports tab is not initially visible, locate it by clicking More.) Locate the ADP iHCM Import Settings section and click the Edit button. Click the Enable Automatic Imports dropdown to select No, and then click Save.
