Setting the Minimum Time Off Request Increment

To set a policy’s time off request interval:

Only Company Admins and HR Admins can manage company settings. Learn more about PTO permissions.

  1. Click your company name at the top of the main navigation, then click Company Settings.

  2. Click the Paid Time Off tab.

  3. Click the name of the PTO policy you want to set the interval for.

  4. When the Edit PTO Policy window opens, scroll to the setting, then click the dropdown to select the time interval requests are submitted in: 1-Minute Intervals, 15-Minute Intervals, 30-Minute Intervals, 1-Hour Intervals, 2-Hour Intervals, Half-Day Intervals, or Full-Day Intervals.

    If your account has one or more "overnight" schedules—where a shift starts on one evening and ends the following day—the system won't allow you to choose the half-day PTO request option. The system cannot calculate the appropriate hours for a half day when the schedule crosses dates.

  5. Click Save.
