Built cares about keeping your account secure, and we have put in place certain safety standards for creating passwords.

When a new user account is created or a password is reset, our system guides you through the process of creating a password that is strong enough to meet security standards.

While there are no specific requirements in regards to letters, numbers, or special characters, you will be given hints to increase the strength of your password during the creation process.

Here are a few suggestions that will help guide you toward a secure password:

  1. The longer the password, the better.

  2. Using a series of words or even a sentence can help make a long password memorable.

  3. Replacing common letters with characters, such as using $ instead of an 's' character, doesn't actually make your password stronger, so don't bother with those.

As you enter characters or words into the password field, the gray password strength bar will transition to green when the password is strong enough to be deemed secure.
