By creating chart sections, your organization can define divisions, departments, regions, business units, and more. This article explains how to visually represent the same person filling the head position for more than one section on your org chart.
To make one person the head of more than one chart section:
Navigate to your official org chart or the scenario chart where you would like to designate chart sections.
Ensure the person who will be the head of multiple chart sections exists more than once on the org chart by creating a dotted line relationship. Creating a dotted line relationship duplicates the person on the org chart, so it might be helpful to give the person a unique title for each position so they’re more easily distinguishable.
Follow the instructions for creating chart sections to create the first section where this person will be designated as the head position.
Assign the person as the head of the section by typing their name or their position title. You'll see the person twice in the result list because that person technically fills two positions on the org chart. Select the appropriate position instance to head this first chart section.
Save the chart section.
Create an additional chart section. When designating the head for this new section, you will choose the second instance where this person appears on the chart.
Save the chart section. The same person now appears as head of two different chart sections on your org chart.
