Configuring PTO Calendar Settings

Learn how to adjust display colors or labels using the calendar settings.

For customers of our PTO module.


To configure how PTO events are displayed on the calendar:

Note: Only Company Admins and HR Admins can edit calendar settings. To learn more, please refer to: Understanding User Roles & Permissions.

  1. From the main menu, navigate to the Calendar page.

  2. Click the Edit Settings button.

  3. Use the checkboxes to select which event types appear on the calendar. You can also hover right of any event type to click the edit icon and customize its display color.

    Note: For PTO policies, you can also set an optional label. For example, you may not want people to be able to see that a coworker is using sick time or personal time specifically. Using this feature you can set all PTO policies to the same label, such as "Time Off" or "PTO". This label change will only affect the calendar.
