# Searching the Org Chart

## Basic Search Function

When viewing your official chart or a scenario chart, you can search for a person or position title using the field in the upper-right corner of the page. Once you begin entering a name or title in the field, the system will populate results to narrow your search.

*You can also jump to a profile by using the field at the top of the main navigation.*

## Advanced Search Function

*For customers of our Advanced Org Design, Position Management, Headcount Planning, Succession Planning, and Internal Mobility modules.*

If your organization utilizes the Bio tab within individuals' profiles to store their credentials, you can search a chart to identify people with specific skills, licenses, and certifications.

To focus your search, click in the search field and click one of the available options: **Everything**, **People**, **Positions**, **Skills**, or **Lic & Cert**. Your selected search category will be displayed, followed by a colon. Continue typing to the right of the colon to locate a specific position ID, skill, license, certification, etc., within that category.
