# Restoring a Terminated Individual

## To restore an individual who was terminated in Built:

*Only Company Admins, HR Admins, and HR Managers can restore a terminated individual. Learn more about* [*managing user roles and permissions*](/v1/docs/managing-user-roles-and-permissions)*.*

1. After [accessing terminated individuals](/v1/docs/accessing-terminated-individuals), click the name of the person you wish to restore.
2. On the person's profile page, click the three-dot menu next to their name.
3. Click **Change Employee Status**.
4. Click the **Status** dropdown to change the person's status to **Active**.
5. Click **Save**.
