If your company has* [*enforced SSO*](/v1/docs/enforcing-single-sign-on-sso) *prior to your initial login, you will be unable to create a password.* ## Creating a Secure Password To ensure the safety of your account, we have implemented certain security standards for creating passwords. When a new user account is created or a password is reset, our system guides you in creating a strong password that meets the necessary security standards, prompting you with hints to improve it. ### Here are a few suggestions to help you create a secure password: 1. The longer the password, the better. 2. Using a series of words or even a sentence can help make a long password memorable. *Passwords cannot include your first name, last name, login email domain name, or repeated words or phrases, such as abcabcabc.* 3. Replacing common letters with characters, such as using $ instead of an 's' character, doesn't actually make your password stronger, so don't bother with those. As you enter characters or words into the password field, the gray password strength bar will transition to green when the password is strong enough to be deemed secure. ### To change the email address or password used for login: 1. Log in to Built using the email address you currently use to log in. 2. Click your user name at the bottom of the main navigation, then click **Sign In & Security.** 3. Change your email address and/or password, then click the **Update** button. The next time you log in, you'll be required to use the new email address and password. *If you’ve forgotten your password, you can initiate a reset using this* [*link*](https://app.builtforteams.com/user/password/new)*. An email invitation will be sent to you, providing steps to reset your password.* Please contact our Customer Success Team for additional assistance.
